Portable Cooking Appliances & Mobile Kitchen Stations

Cooking outdoors does not have to mean roughing it – more and more appliance and furniture designers are creating extremely elegant solutions for outdoor living that put most of our actual kitchens to shame. These ‘outdoor kitchens’ come complete with cooking and preparation surfaces as well as shelves and other storage spaces.

Most of these clever designs are on wheels, naturally, and some have attachments so they can be taken apart, moved and reassembled on the spot. A combination of wood and metal makes for a durable and robust design without losing a touch of warmth from the addition of natural materials.

While we mostly think of such designs as made for commercial use they have residential applications (and pricing) as well. Not exactly the easiest thing to afford in a recession but maybe a substitute for that much-needed kitchen remodeling project?
