Most of us know what we have to do, at a minimum, to keep ourselves healthy: eat nutritious foods, exercise regularly, and drink plenty of water. But it’s hard to remember to do those things when life gets busy. Ad agency Ogilvy Paris created a campaign for Vittel, a French bottled water company, that reminds us to stay hydrated.
The ad campaign revolves around a unique water bottle lid. When you twist the bottle closed, a one-hour timer starts counting down. After an hour elapses, a little flag pops up from the bottle cap, drawing your attention to it and reminding you to take a drink.
According to the ad campaign, some 80% of us don’t drink enough water. Dehydration can cause a number of health problems, so any method of getting people to drink more water is bound to enact positive change. It doesn’t hurt that this one happens to be eye-catching and downright adorable.
