<p>The epic eight-season run of HBO&#8217;s smash-hit <em>Game of Thrones</em> series may have come to an end, but its fandom will live on (and not just through the coming spin-off series). Nobody’s quite ready to stop obsessing over the stories, characters, dragons, <a href="https://dornob.com/hbo-hides-iron-thrones-throughout-the-world-ahead-of-game-of-thrones-finale/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">settings</a>, and costumes just yet, either, so it would pretty surprising if the tale’s mythologies <em>didn&#8217;t</em> stand the test of time. Now, you can keep your love for Houses Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, Tyrell, and even the White Walkers alive in your own private residences with modernized <em>Game of Thrones</em>-themed interiors.</p>
<p><br /><br />
<figure class="wp-block-image"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Tyrell-1024x683.jpg" alt="Modsy's interior space inspired by House Tyrell from &quot;Game of Thrones.&quot;" class="wp-image-65693" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Tyrell-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Tyrell-468x312.jpg 468w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Tyrell-768x512.jpg 768w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Tyrell.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
<p><br />
<p>Modsy, an interior design service offering digital tools to style scale models of your real-life rooms, imagines how the personal spaces of a few favorite <em>Game of Thrones</em> characters might look today. Scouring their libraries of colors, materials, and textures alongside furnishings from stores like Restoration Hardware, Noir, and Williams Sonoma, the company has envisioned six homes custom-tailored to their famous fictional residents.</p>
<p><br />
<p>Themed spaces are tricky to pull off. If you veer into the realm of fan paraphernalia like posters and figurines, or objects that are too literal like replica Iron Thrones, you can end up with a result that feels cheesy. Modsy deftly avoided these pitfalls by selecting contemporary pieces that are suggestive of each character’s distinct style, as if Sansa Stark and Olenna Tyrell waltzed through their local Crate &amp; Barrel and picked them out themselves.</p>

<p><br />
<p>The series begins in King’s Landing with House Lannister. Here, a space with white walls and wood floors is filled with a mix of medieval-tinged items like a candelabra chandelier and objects reminiscent of the global South here in our own realm, like Moroccan drum tables and an Indian hutch.</p><div class="newsletter-inline-wrapper-article">

<p>“We imagined the desk might serve as the perfect place for Cersei to write letters, repay debts, and plan how she will murder her enemies with Wildfire. The open sitting area would be ideal for hosting guests and drinking copious amounts of wine (you’re welcome, Tyrion).”</p>

<p><br />
<p>House Targaryen’s space is fit for a Dragon Queen, complete with a cozy canopy bed, a soft color palette, and an eclectic mix of items that recall the colors and textures of all the places where Daenerys evolved as a character — from the sun-drenched streets of Essos and the Dothraki deserts to the harsher, more industrial feel of Dragonstone. A few tasteful objects, like a medieval wall print of a dragon, a decorative speckled egg from CB2, and a golden crown dish from West Elm, help complete the room&#8217;s embodiment of Dany’s essence.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-1024x683.jpg" alt="Modsy's interior space inspired by House Stark from &quot;Game of Thrones.&quot;" class="wp-image-65691" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-468x312.jpg 468w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-768x512.jpg 768w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
<p><br /><br />
<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-2-1024x683.jpg" alt="Modsy's interior space inspired by House Stark from &quot;Game of Thrones.&quot;" class="wp-image-65692" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-2-468x312.jpg 468w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-2-768x512.jpg 768w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/House-Stark-2.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
<p><br />
<p>For House Stark, Modsy wanted to create a bedroom fit for a Queen in the North that could serve as a warm and comforting refuge in the midst of a snowy winter. Items used for this space include a faux antler chandelier from Pottery Barn, genuine sheepskins from Tanjore, petrified wood side tables from CB2, and a blackened oak canopy bed from Restoration Hardware.</p>
<p><br />
<p>“The color palette, inspired by House Stark’s colors of gray and white, creates a dark, moody, and almost brooding feel in the space (Jon Snow will feel right at home). The roaring fire and layered textures ensure this bedroom retreat is still inviting, and we can imagine Sansa curling up by the fire and relaxing after a long day.”</p>
<p><br /><br />
<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="683" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/White-Walkers-1024x683.jpg" alt="Modsy's interior space inspired by the White Walkers from &quot;Game of Thrones.&quot;" class="wp-image-65694" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/White-Walkers-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/White-Walkers-468x312.jpg 468w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/White-Walkers-768x512.jpg 768w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/White-Walkers.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>
