Living in a tiny home doesn’t mean you have to give up modern conveniences. But while space is at a premium in a tiny home, you may not have room for a full-size refrigerator or oven. You may even be thinking you have to give up certain appliances entirely, but innovative design in the appliance realm means you can cook your food, and freeze it, too. Here are four small-scale appliances that won’t leave you hanging out to dry (literally).

At 24 inches in width, this washer / dryer combination will fit under a counter or table in your tiny home, meaning you won’t have to truck your laundry to the laundromat or have your sopping wet clothes taking up premium space in your home as they air-dry. With a stainless steel drum, multiple wash and dry settings, a delay-start option and an LCD display, the only thing this appliance is short on is size. Sure, it may boggle your mind that it can wash and dry your clothes all in the same machine, but leave that question to ponder as you watch your whites spin.

Tiny homes need just as much air quality moderation as any other home. This miniature dehumidifier is the perfect size for small spaces and prevents mold growth and other harmful situations that may arise in a well-insulated tiny home. As if microwaves aren’t compact enough, this one measures 10 inches deep by 10.5 inches wide by 12 inches tall–just big enough to heat up a cup of coffee or a bowl of soup. And, with a collapsible handle on top, it’s easy to transport, weighing in at only 12 pounds. Plus, it has a notably quieter operation compared with other microwaves. (As mentioned above, the last thing you need in a tiny home is noise pollution.) You won’t find this model setting you back more than $125, and it’s even available on Amazon.
