To call the result multicultural or trans-national would miss the depth and diversity of its influences (and a conscious design choice to weave’ elements from all areas it is intended to be exhibited in).
Its creator, Armenia-born and raised in Istanbul, had the materials shipped from New Zealand, Egypt and India to be woven in India by Nepalese artisans based on the Mexican-made design to be placed in a German-collecting museum.
