Few retailers nail holiday home decor quite like Target, where displays of adorable ornaments, stockings, garlands, and more will tempt you into covering every last square inch of your home in seasonal items. The superstore’s 2022 Holiday Home Collections include exciting new releases from house brands and collaborations like Hearth & Hand x Magnolia, Opalhouse x Jungalow, Threshold x Studio McGee, and Wondershop.
Below are some of our favorite new Target holiday decor items you won’t want to miss. Be sure to peruse the rest at Target’s Holiday Shop (preferably with a hot cocoa in hand).
Hearth & Hand x Magnolia
Joanna Gaines has shared her personal picks from the new Hearth & Hand x Magnolia holiday collection. They include everything from wintery plaid dog bandanas to mailboxes for letters to Santa, but one major standout is this Toy Apartment Building ($129.99), which can either be used as a dollhouse for kids or as a contemporary addition to your tabletop Christmas village. We also love the Fair Isle Stoneware Milk & Cookies Set, which can be enjoyed by everyone in the family after Santa’s done with it.
Threshold x Studio McGee
You can always expect relaxed elegance from the Threshold x Studio McGee home decor collab, and their 2022 holiday collection is no different. It’s full of natural materials and neutral color palettes that are easy to integrate into your existing decor, like a Woven Tree Skirt Rug ($50) made of jute, a Set of Three Glass Botanical Ornaments ($15), and a lush-looking Extra Large Long Needle Pine Wreath ($60).
A trio of tiny beige ceramic LED Tea Light Holders shaped like Christmas trees ($40) will add lots of ambiance without creating any additional fire hazards. A pale Wood Tree Topper ($25) is just the right touch for a minimalist tree, and it goes perfectly with Threshold x Studio McGee’s laid-back stockings, available in various knitted colors and a demure plaid ($15).
Opalhouse x Jungalow
Always extra bright, colorful, and full of cheer, Target’s Opalhouse x Jungalow collection brings in designs and motifs from cultures around the world. The fun, youthful vibe of this year’s seasonal items includes some seriously cute additions to your home decor. The Velvet Star Garland ($15) features gold velvet stars, shimmery moons, and tinsel pom accents, and you can even pair it with a matching wreath ($25).
The Set of Five Boiled Wool Icon Ornaments ($25) brings some characters you might not expect to your holiday tableaus, like two mermaids and a camel. If you’re celebrating the holidays in a warm winter climate, how can you resist? We also love the Star-Shaped Sweater Knit Throw Pillow, which is so cozy you might start wondering how to keep it in rotation after the holidays are over. The Dove Menorah ($30) might just be the cutest version of a menorah you’ll find anywhere, though the Carved Clay Menorah ($35) comes in a close second.
This year’s Wondershop collection has themes like Yuletide Fable, Snowy White & Warm Metallics, Modern Merry, and Santa’s Coming. How is it possible to pick favorites out of over 2,900 items? Just do your best to exercise some control, but we don’t blame you if you go a little crazy. We’re loving the three-foot fabric “Feliz Navidad” Garland ($10), a snowy white version of the 17.5” Lit Ceramic Christmas Tree ($60), and the Animated Candy Striped North Pole Antique Telephone ($25) that looks like it came straight out of Whoville.
If sweet little woodland creatures are more your vibe, there are plenty to choose from. Check out the 3 Piece Mini Fabric Winter Bird Figurine set ($10), the 3 Piece Mini Fabric Gnome Figurine Set ($10), and a Faux Fur Standing Reindeer Figure ($20) standing over 13 inches tall.
