A single form, repeated. That is the essence of this project, coupled, of course, with the contemporary technologies needed to produce and replicate such a sinuous and complex form.

Disguincio & Co dubs this piece the Folio and is currently working to produce it at full scale. For now, though, the concept and smaller models are sound: each piece is individually flexible, but together they form a robust spiral spine.


Being modular has multiple advantages, and not just on the production side – vary the height and number of pieces and you can construct steps for odd spaces or non-parallel landings, making it all the more adaptable to reuse and addition cases.
