Wall shelves aren’t usually the most creative or impressive pieces of decor in a household, but the 360 Shelf from designer Luka Pirnat can be customized to suit your tastes and storage needs.

The beech wood shelf is more like a frame. It has four thick sides and a void in the middle. It mounts in a horizontal position, so when you look at it from the front, it just looks like a straight wooden shelf.

The 360 Shelf is mounted to the wall with a simple rotating peg. A little brass handle on the underside gives you a place to grip when changing the shelf’s position.

Books, magazines, or other objects go inside the void in the middle of the shelf. The shelf balances to hold the objects straight or tilted. Putting several of them on the wall in a cluster, all turned to different angles, can create a simple but striking visual display.

The designer created a video to demonstrate how to unique shelf works. The project is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter for an initial production run.
