Dubbed a “technical bag” by its designers, Plaat is an elegant bag constructed of laser cut wood and lined in leather. The cut wood is flexible and easily rolls up into a stylish carryall.

Plaat was created by design duo Qoowl, consisting of Quinten Peuling and Wisse Trooster, and in cooperation with menswear designer Dewi Bekker. Inside the delicately patterned wooden exterior, the leather lining contains two pockets to hold your essential items.

The bag is shipped flat and only takes on its distinctive rolled shape after a leather cord is threaded through and pulled tight. The Plaat can be carried as a clutch or converted into a shoulder bag; first editions of the bag are available from Qoowl for €250 (about $320 US).
