The metal we use in heavy and light construction, like these rarely-seen steel studs behind many of the walls we pass daily, is eco-friendly insofar as it is durable, available and itself recyclable. Structurally, the shape of steel construction studs and supports are designed to maximize strength while minimizing the amount of material required.
This chair-and-stool set is a strange couple to be sure – functional, rigid and rectilinear. Nonetheless, there is an urban industrial appeal to them, as if they could just as easily be found art from a factory as they could be artistic modern furniture.
