Black, white, green and fading all over, these create a wonderful 3D illusion on the wall – chipped paint flaking from rustic wooden boards from outside some faded home. The vintage effect captures the aesthetic of aged wood from old house brand-new roles of wallpaper.

In green, white or black-and-white, three basic patterns offer a range of possibilities. Deployed in horizontal or vertical strips on select interior surfaces, these work as full-wall coverings or can accent areas of interest in particular rooms and hallway spaces as the photos show.

For some people, the fact that these are in some way ‘fake’ makes them a bit less magical … but again, look to the images: in the right context they could look truly beautiful as long as you are not too disturbed by their kitsch potential.
