<p>Wood paneled walls got a bad rap in the 60s and 70s for being overused, dark and downright ugly. But the reclaimed <a href="https://dornob.com/people-are-stealing-entire-barns-to-satisfy-the-demand-for-rustic-chic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">barn wood</a> tiles from <a href="https://www.urbantimber.ca/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Urban Timber</a> (formerly Everett &amp; Schilling) give new life to wooden wall coverings.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="700" height="438" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-featured.jpeg" alt="Barn wood wall tiles featured" class="wp-image-85850" title="recycled barn wood tiles" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-featured.jpeg 700w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-featured-468x293.jpeg 468w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>

<p>The Urban Timber wood tiles come in several shapes and sizes fit for creating all sorts of effects. They can form an accent wall, a backsplash, or even a decorative piece of wall art.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="800" height="534" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-horizontal.jpeg" alt="Barn wood wall tiles horizontal" class="wp-image-85851" title="recycled wood tiles" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-horizontal.jpeg 800w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-horizontal-468x312.jpeg 468w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-horizontal-768x513.jpeg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" /></figure>

<p>These <a href="https://dornob.com/interactive-wall-tiles-serve-as-planters-shelving-seating/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">wall tiles</a> are nothing like the flimsy, claustrophobic-looking wall panels of previous decades. They are dynamic and full of undulating colors and tones. Their varying depths give them an additional measure of textural interest.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="900" height="900" src="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-pattern.jpeg" alt="Barn wood wall tiles pattern" class="wp-image-85853" title="upcycled wood wall tiles" srcset="https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-pattern.jpeg 900w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-pattern-468x468.jpeg 468w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-pattern-150x150.jpeg 150w, https://dornob.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Barn-wood-wall-tiles-pattern-768x768.jpeg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" /></figure>

<p>All of the Urban Timber tiles are made from upcycled hardwood and recycled barn wood, giving them an undeniable measure of character and charm.</p><div class="newsletter-inline-wrapper-article">

<p>Via the <a href="https://ecofloorstore.ca/2012/10/supplier-profile-everitt-schilling-tile-co/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eco Floor Store</a>, which sells these awesome tiles: &#8220;We recently featured these unique wall tiles in our booth at IDSwest in Vancouver. They were an instant it! So much so, they were&nbsp;featured on The Marilyn Denis Show by celebrity interior designer Andrew Pike. The tiles are handcrafted from the wood of old barns found throughout the Western United States. The tiles coated in a low VOC, water based ceramic finish so they can be easily installed in surfaces throughout your space, from accent walls, backsplashes to modern artwork. They are available in a series of formats, patterns and colors.&#8221;</p>
