Impatience can be a good motivator. Inventor Nick Anusbigian will drink to that–he was so tired of waiting for his favorite beverage, iced coffee, to cool that he designed the HyperChiller. Now he’s rushing to keep up with customer demand.
“I came up with the HyperChiller after trying all of the different methods (cold brew, brew over ice, just putting it in the fridge) and wanting an easier way to make it,” Anusbigian told us. “My wife got me a Keurig for Christmas in 2014, and that was the spark–I wanted to make it as easy as using that machine.”
Anusbigian was determined to find a better way for coffee lovers to enjoy their cold caffeinated brew without having to wait while it cooled in the fridge or suffer through weakened coffee by pouring it over ice and inheriting the melt.
The HyperChiller is indeed hyper, cooling hot coffee by up to 130 degrees in a mere 60 seconds. In fact, your iced coffee will be ready before you even feel thirsty. (Well, almost.)
How does it work? Well, its patent-pending, multi-chamber design doesn’t let the ice and the coffee meet during the cooling process, and it can chill up to 12.5 fluid ounces of coffee at a time.
If you use a single-serve brewer at home, you’d just brew your coffee can directly onto the HyperChiller’s lid; the hot coffee will be funneled into its center cooling chamber. You can also pour coffee from the traditional carafe. Hey, what can we say–it’s an equal-opportunity chiller.
The HyperChiller was designed to stand up well to repeated exposure to hot and freezing temperatures, and it is dishwasher-safe, for easy cleaning. High-quality stainless steel and food-safe, BPA-free plastic are used to ensure top quality and performance.
Now, we’re hearing a few of you say, “But I love iced tea, not iced coffee!” Ha–the HyperChiller has you covered too. You know how frustrating it is to sit outside with a pitcher of warm lemony tea in front of you as the sun beats down. Pour it on ice cubes, and you’ll have cold but weak tea. What to do?
Yes, the HyperChiller cools off your tea in a minute.
And Anusbigian will help you to be the hit of summer parties, too.
“With a HyperChiller you can rapidly chill your liquors without any dilution,” he explains. “You don’t need to make a fresh batch of oversize ice cubes every time and still worry about watering down your drink.”
That means Manhattans, martinis, and whiskies will keep their cool, too. And you can also use the HyperChiller for wine!
When you pick up a bottle of wine off the store shelf, you need time to chill it in the fridge, right? Wrong! The HyperChiller will cool a couple of glasses of wine for you to enjoy while the rest of the bottle chills in the fridge.
It seems like an easy way to keep your cool all summer long, and beyond.
