How do you make an ugly facade for a two-story vehicle storage space neighbor-friendly? One approach, taken in this newly-completed Lake Harney home, is to simply fool the world into thinking you have an bland old ordinary house … until you push the button.

Located on a grassy private Florida landing strip, this residence doubles as a double-height hangar for cars, trucks, boats and even small planes. The ‘false front’ folds up on demand to let this host of vehicles in or out, then locks back in place to look seamless.

On the flip side of the dwelling one can enter directly into the regular living spaces, but any visitors approaching from the angle of this video are in for a big surprise (even if no one starts the door-opening process while they stand on the porch!).
