It looks like the final scene in some urban tragedy, or perhaps a real-life murder – but not to worry: unlike those who pass by without warning, you should know straight away that this is an art installation and not an actual fatality.

Crafted by Mark Jenkins to look eerily lifelike, a fake corpse lies on the ground next to his last can of graffiti – his marks trailing off into lines of nonsense as his supposedly breathed his last.

The transition is strangely touching, from a colorful and fully-detailed mural with three-dimensional shapes, symbols and characters to an increasingly abstract and single-tone scrawl finally falling from the wall to the dirty sidewalk below.
