<p>Their creator, Yuken Teruya, currently lives and works in New York City but<em> &#8220;was Born in Okinawa, Japan in 1973. Yuken received his BFA from Tama Art University in Tokyo in 1996, MFA from the school of Visual Arts, New York in 2001.&#8221;</em> This work arises out of the fine crafts of Japanese paper art and fascination with the details of nature.</p><div class="newsletter-inline-wrapper-article">

<p>This project plays with light, shadow, decor and intimate settings. <em>&#8220;Toilet rolls sprouting and spreading branches are installed to a wall to create a forest. There is a moment when the cut-out branches and leaves start holding themselves up with their own strength.
