Picture a long white designer curtain – and this is likely the last image that will come to mind. Forget standard shapes, styles and sizes. From top to bottom, each magnetic tab makes it so this clever hanging curtain stays in any position you could possibly imagine along a whole bay window area or even an entire room.

Modern, modular and geometric, no one would guess the at the multifunctional capacities of these curtains designed by Florian Krautli. The spiderweb of repeating shapes are deceptively simple – the lines connecting each magnet are made to bend and fold so the magnets can stick together.

Though unfortunately still only a prototype design at this point, these pictures clearly illustrate the amazing capacities of such flexible designs – they can be used to selectively divide spaces, block and allow light and add a creative and interactive dimension to rooms and windows.
