Arriving in stores and online on February 28th, Levi’s X Target offers “thoughtfully designed, durable, and lasting pieces for a more sustainable home and life.” The collection places an emphasis on durable materials, featuring more sustainable specs than any past Target limited-time-only design collaboration, including recycled glass, FSC Wood, Fair Trade USA, and GOODWEAVE certifications.

Target recently released a sneak peek at the line, including some pretty cute photos of the textiles (that dog bandanna!) and some seriously beautiful ceramic dishes. Seen all together like this, the items definitely scream “Americana,” if that’s what you’re into, coming in shades of blue, white, and red. But incorporating individual pieces into your decor would be easy enough for a lot of interior design styles.

Other items spotted in the promo photos and video include a bean bag chair, a denim pouf, accent pillows in the same bandanna print, a three-legged stool, some versatile rag rugs that look like they might be made from denim scraps, and a stylish kitchen apron. The collection will be available in most Target stores, though the retailer says the selection and number of items will vary a bit in some locations. Every piece will also be available on Target.com, ranging in price from $3 to $150, with most items under $25.

The collection represents a deepening partnership between Levi Strauss & Co. and Target. The retailer has offered Levi’s lower-priced Denizen jeans for decades now, and in 2019, they began carrying the brand’s premium red tab 505 and 511 jeans at select stores located in urban areas and near college campuses. You can find both of those lines on Target’s website, too.

“Strategic partnerships like our work with Levi’s have long been a key part of Target’s success, allowing us to offer our guests the very best national brands alongside our incredible assortment of owned brands,” says Jill Sando, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer, Style and Owned Brands, Target. “Through this partnership, we’re able to offer a collection of items guests can’t find anywhere else, with pieces that exemplify the values and design prowess of both the Target and Levi’s brands.”

Looking for a reason to justify dropping some extra cash at Target? The retailer made out like gangbusters over the holiday season, with comparable sales up 17.2 percent in November and December, and now it’s spending some of that profit on bonuses for employees. All hourly workers will receive $500 bonuses, and those in leadership roles will receive $1,000 to $2,000. This is the fifth time Target has given bonuses to its workers since the start of the pandemic. Target has also announced that it will extend its coronavirus-related benefits, like pay for those who need to quarantine or recover from illness (honestly, it’s the least they can do).
