A refrigerator is notoriously one of the biggest, bulkiest, heaviest and diffcult-to-move piece of furniture in a house or apartment. Not so with this alternative portable version of the appliance. Not only is it lighter and more stylish than most big-box refrigerators but it also collapses and expands to accomodate different levels of need.  This saves space for the studio apartment dweller but also saves energy not used to uneccessarily refrigerate extra area. A central pillar supports each level and permeable structural layers allow cold air, generated at the base, to easily circulate upward through the different spaces.
