Barely-There Floating Vases Show the Beauty of Minimalism

Minimalism at its finest looks almost like nothing at all. So it is with the Ripple floating vase from oodesign. At first glance there seems to be nothing supporting the flowers at all, almost like a whimsical magic trick.

The lightweight vases feature a well in their centers which supports the flowers’ stems. Flowers appear to simply float along, upright, in a body of water.

The PET vases are shaped to look like the gentle ripples in a pond. When in the water they virtually disappear, leaving only the impression of an upright stem somehow causing the water to gently wave.

Placed in a bowl, cup or lake of water, these vases are so lightweight that they move around on the surface with the gentlest of breezes. The scene created by a large group of these vessels floating along together would surely inspire both awe and delight.
