Would you ever eat off of your household’s garbage? Probably not, but something similar could be an eco-friendly way to reduce waste and even encourage you to grow your own garden at home.
FOODSCAPES, a collaboration between whomade.it and Michela Milani, is a project that uses edible waste to make “shells” in the shape of seeds. The little containers can be used to hold dry foods.
The bowls are made without the use of additives, preservatives, dyes, thickeners, concealers or artificial agents. They’re all-natural, Earth-friendly, and have a positive place in the food cycle.
When the FOODSCAPES bowls outlive their usefulness, they are fully compostable. They dissolve in water and can then be used as fertilizer in your home garden – giving the materials a third life.
